Why was I charged?

Understanding why a Nova charge appeared on your account.

If you noticed a charge from Nova, it's almost always related to a Nova PRO subscription. Here are the most common reasons:

Your free trial ended

If you started a 3-day free trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan when the trial ends; $7.99/week or $39.99/year, depending on the plan you selected. To avoid being charged, a trial needs to be canceled before it ends.

Your subscription renewed

Nova PRO renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle (weekly or annually) unless it's canceled beforehand. A renewal charge means your subscription was still active at the renewal date.

You started a new subscription

If you recently tapped "Upgrade" or "Try for free" and completed the purchase, the charge reflects your new Nova PRO subscription.

What you can do

  • To check or cancel your plan, go to Settings and tap Manage Subscription

  • Subscriptions purchased on mobile are managed through your App Store or Google Play account

  • Subscriptions purchased on the web are managed through your account at novaapp.ai

If you believe you were charged in error, or you don't recognize the charge, please contact our support team and include your User ID (found at the bottom of the Settings screen) along with any receipt or screenshot. We'll be happy to look into it.
